Fritz Coleman has been the weatherman for KNBC-TV in Los Angeles for many years.
He attended Salem College in West Virginia and Temple University in Philadelphia where he studied radio, television, and film.[1] Like many popular weather anchors, he serves as a weather reporter rather than a meteorologist as he doesn’t have a degree in meteorology. This facet may be contrary to popular belief.

He worked as a comedian and disc jockey for several years and as a radio personality at WBEN and later WKBW in Buffalo, New York.[1] He left Buffalo for Los Angeles in 1980 to work as a stand-up comic. In 1982 he began work as weekend weatherman at KNBC, and has been the weekday weatherman since 1984.

He has written and performed two one-man theater acts, titled The Reception and It’s Me! Dad!. He received the 2004 EMA Community Service Award for his involvement with KNBC’s 4 Our Planet, a children’s program. He appeared in a supporting role in one of Raymond Burr’s last Perry Mason television films, The Case of the Telltale Talk Show Host, in 1993.

Our Baton Rouge High School Class of ’59 classmates will be turning 75 in 2016 and we are planning a celebration banquet and party sometime in the spring of ’16. I am the coordinator of this event and we would love for Fritz Coleman to come to Baton Rouge to speak at our 75th Birthday Banquet. A date has not been set for this event as we will schedule it when and if Mr. Coleman would be available to be our guest speaker. His talk on aging is so appropriate for this occasion and we would be so honored to have him come. Please let me know if he accepts such engagements and his fee. Thank you very much!

I found your website, after seeing Fritz Coleman’s show on You Tube. I am interested in getting a quote for a show for our Convention in Pasco, Washington on September 23rd.

I would like to see if he is available to do his comedy routine for the Seniors Mother’s day tea on Friday May 6, 2016 in Loma Linda, CA. It would be from 12:00 to 2:00 pm. We would not need him for the whole time. Just for a 30 to 45 minute routine.

I would like to see if Fritz would consider doing his stand up here at the American Jewish University. Our community is perfect for his routine on aging. We would like to have him in on a Sunday at 4pm in December 2016, January 2017,or February 2017, the exact date to be determined.
