Fritz Coleman

Fritz Coleman has been the weatherman for KNBC-TV in Los Angeles for many years.
He attended Salem College in West Virginia and Temple University in Philadelphia where he studied radio, television, and film.[1] Like many popular weather anchors, he serves as a weather reporter rather than a meteorologist as he doesn’t have a degree in meteorology. This facet may be contrary to popular belief.

He worked as a comedian and disc jockey for several years and as a radio personality at WBEN and later WKBW in Buffalo, New York.[1] He left Buffalo for Los Angeles in 1980 to work as a stand-up comic. In 1982 he began work as weekend weatherman at KNBC, and has been the weekday weatherman since 1984.

He has written and performed two one-man theater acts, titled The Reception and It’s Me! Dad!. He received the 2004 EMA Community Service Award for his involvement with KNBC’s 4 Our Planet, a children’s program. He appeared in a supporting role in one of Raymond Burr’s last Perry Mason television films, The Case of the Telltale Talk Show Host, in 1993.

I Ilive in San Miguel de Allende , Gto Mexico, and friends and I recently built a beautiful new 125 seat theater here. May retirees live in SMA, and would like to see Fritz Coleman´s live performance. Do you book his act, and if so, please send details, price and etc.

Our Baton Rouge High School Class of ’59 classmates will be turning 75 in 2016 and we are planning a celebration banquet and party sometime in the spring of ’16. I am the coordinator of this event and we would love for Fritz Coleman to come to Baton Rouge to speak at our 75th Birthday Banquet. A date has not been set for this event as we will schedule it when and if Mr. Coleman would be available to be our guest speaker. His talk on aging is so appropriate for this occasion and we would be so honored to have him come. Please let me know if he accepts such engagements and his fee. Thank you very much!

I found your website, after seeing Fritz Coleman’s show on You Tube. I am interested in getting a quote for a show for our Convention in Pasco, Washington on September 23rd.

I would like to see if he is available to do his comedy routine for the Seniors Mother’s day tea on Friday May 6, 2016 in Loma Linda, CA. It would be from 12:00 to 2:00 pm. We would not need him for the whole time. Just for a 30 to 45 minute routine.

I would like to see if Fritz would consider doing his stand up here at the American Jewish University. Our community is perfect for his routine on aging. We would like to have him in on a Sunday at 4pm in December 2016, January 2017,or February 2017, the exact date to be determined.

I am the Activity Director at an active 55+ community in Mesa, AZ and was wondering if Fritz ever came to Arizona to perform? Based on the number of retirees we have in this state, he would be a huge hit. Loved the video from the 2014 Final Conference on Aging! I serve on the Board for the Valley Association of Leisure Directors of Arizona encompassing most of Phoenix and surrounding Activity Director who would love the opportunity to have him perform at their community as well. I look forward to hearing from you.

I’m a retired filmmaker from LA where I enjoyed watching Fritz every night. I’m enquiring about booking Mr. Coleman to speak at the annual dinner for our homeowner’s association members. The event will take place in January or February of next year. We are located in Palm Springs, CA area. You can contact me via email or phone 323-333-3138.

I would like to inquire about booking Mr. Fritz Coleman sometime in 2019. We are a new upscale CCRC (Continuing Care Retirement Community) that will be moving in our new residents starting in May. We will have about 500 residents by the end of the year, finishing in 2020 with about 750.

It would be an honor to host his comedy show late 2019 or even in 2020. I look forward to hearing back from you. Thank you!
