A veteran actress, Mariann Aalda began her standup career in 2008. She performs in clubs coast-to-coast — from Caroline’s in NYC to Hollywood Improv.
A Chicago native, she got her show biz start on the streets of New York… literally, as a writer-performer doing sketch comedy on a pull-down stage off the side of a truck with Off-Centre Theatre. She has toured with the improv groups, The Proposition and 3 Blacque Chix. Mariann is also a cancer survivor, and not afraid to tackle this topic with humor. She also has some hilarious insight on aging, sex, and more!
AARP recently profiled Aalda. Read it here.
“Deemed ‘too old’ by the industry, actress and comic Mariann Aalda reclaims the career she loves and empowers women of all ages to snap out of society’s trance.”
