Corey Kahaney

Cory Kahaney doesn’t write her own act anymore, but thanks to her precocious teenage daughter and her irritating relatives she never lacks material. Cory may be best known as one of the “final five” on the surprise hit “Last Comic Standing” (NBC) and her own half-hour special on Comedy Central; Other TV credits include “Last Call with Carson Daly” (NBC), multiple appearances on “Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn”, Joy’s comedy corner on “The View” (ABC), “Politically Incorrect” (ABC), as well as Comedy Centrals’ “USO Tour” & “Premium Blend”.

Cory was featured in last years “Just For Laughs” festival in Montreal. Her one-person show “Having it all and other Myths” premiered at the US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen. “Having it all and other Myths” was later produced as a half hour special for HBO, which lead to development deals with Warner Brothers and CBS. Cory returned again in 2000 to the Aspen Comedy Arts Festival as a featured Stand-Up. She is also an active member in the “New York Friars Club”.

Currently Cory is developing a show for Broadway called “The Princesses of Comedy” honoring the Jewish female comedians who paved the way for all of us women in Stand-Up; featuring rare archival material along with some of the top contemporary comedians of today.
